Stream Shield: Disabling and Enabling

Stream Shield

Stream shield is screen capture detection and screenshot prevention technology. This can be enabled or disabled through the policies section of the PB&J TV dashboard. It can be disabled or enabled for:

• Location-wide
• Classes
• Cameras
• Families
• Individual viewers

Disabling Stream Shield will allow parents to take screenshots freely! This could be useful for events such as parties or ceremonies where the administration wants parents to be able to take pictures of their children during their viewing session. 

How to Enable or Disable Stream Shield

Enabling/disabling Stream Shield is an option for any of the five policies! It will always be located in the configuration section of the selected type of policy.

Steps on how to disable or enable Stream Shield: 

     1. Select the policy by clicking on its title.

     2. Select the configurations tab

     3. Select the toggle icon next to Toggle Stream Shield. If the switch is left off, Stream Shield will be automatically enabled.

     4. If you decide to disable Stream Shield, select the toggle button. Once you do this, another toggle               option will appear below. Leave it off to disable Stream Shield, which will allow screenshots to                   be taken, or toggle the switch to enable Stream Shield. 

     5. Select Submit
