Creating a Policy:
First, select which policy type you want to create. You can find all five of the policies at the top of the policies tab on the PB&J TV dashboard.
Once you have selected a policy, you can begin to make a new policy by clicking "Create Policy" at the top right-hand corner.
1. Details
This will bring you to the first stage of creating a policy. In the details stage of making a family policy, you can give the policy a name and description.
Once the title and description are completed, select "Create Policy" to create the new policy.
2. Schedule
Next, select the viewing schedule for the policy. This schedule will limit camera viewability by days of the week and time rangers for each day.
- First, select the switch
to the right to enable scheduling.
- Then enter the start/end times along with the preferred days.
- Then select "Create"
Once created, you can edit or delete each day and time.
To enter more days and time ranges, select "Add new time range" at the bottom of the page. This will allow you to create more viewing times.
3. Configuration
In the Configurations section of family policies, you can turn on or off specific features for individual families. These include:
- Limiting the maximum number of viewing sessions for a family
- Limiting the length of each session per family
- Enabling/disabling desktop access for streams for a family
- Enabling/disabling mobile access for streams for a family
- Enabling/disabling Stream Shield for a family
To enable any of these options, select the switch next to the feature.
Then enter each of the preferred features.
After completion, select Submit.
If any of these features are not enabled, it will simply follow the general location policy.

The families tab located next to Schedule is where you can activate the policy for a family.
Once in the policy you are assigning, select Families. This will bring up a list of all of your Families.
Next, Select Activate Policy for Family to the right.
Once More, select Activate Policy.
Any Policy that has been activated will have the status set to Active.
From here, you can also unassign a policy from a family.
Select Deactivate Policy for Family.
